Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at Dahlonega United Methodist Church is an exciting and challenging place for students grades 6-12 to grow their relationship with God and one another.
UMY (United Methodist Youth) exists to:
- Seek new disciples in Christ
- Serve the Lord through serving others
- Connect with one another through Christ
- Grow our relationship with Him
- Worship the Lord with our prayers, actions, time and abilities
"O God, from my youth have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds." Psalm 71:17
The Pulse

Sunday Night Youth: 4pm-6pm This exciting program is for grades 6-12 at the Chestatee Street Campus, Youth Worship Center. We meet and hang out with our friends just to talk or listen to music, play ping-pong, pool or video games. We worship together (led by our Youth Band), listen to a message, and then break out into Impact Groups which are divided by gender and grade (6th-12th). These groups are led by a Youth Counselor and are designed for small group discussion.
Service: Serve Sunday occurs on the first Sunday of every other month and will take place of the regular Sunday Night Youth Service. We serve our community by visiting residents homes, cleaning, doing yard work and much more. The Sr. High Youth (including rising 9th graders) also have an opportunity to go on a week long mission trip during the summer.
Wednesday Night Small Group Ministry: (SGM) These small groups are divided into two groups of 9-10th and 11th-12th graders. We meet in the homes of the Senior High youth, and dinner is provided. Youth will get an opportunity to talk about real issues and deepen their faith through study and discussion in a living room setting, and studies will last up to six weeks. Sign up at Sunday Night Youth.
Venture Out: Once a month the youth have an opportunity to have fun together doing things such as bowling, swimming, or going to the movies. Friends are welcome but must bring a signed emergency form with them. A calendar of events is posted at both campuses.
