Sunday School is for Everyone!

Adult Classes

Visitors are welcome in any of these groups. Study topics vary each quarter.  Please check the Events page for a listing of class topics. 

9:30 am - Friendship Class: All adult ages welcome. This class meets in Room 302 of the Education Building, which is located behind the Sanctuary at the South Park Street Campus.     

9:30 am - Breath Of Spring: Class begins promptly with piano playing and in room singing of favorite hymns. Biblically-based study lessons. Class composed of primarily mature adults. This class meets in Room 308 of the Education Building, which is located behind the Sanctuary at the South Park Street Campus.

9:30 am - Genesis Class: Bible study and discussion. Class composed of singles and married individuals with or without children. This class meets in Room 306 of the Education Building, which is located behind the Sanctuary of the South Park Street Campus.  Class members take turns as facilitators for weeks lesson.

9:30 am - Prime-Time: Bible lesson, book/video studies, variable format. Class is composed of mixed ages. It meets in the Library, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Education Building, behind the Sanctuary of the South Park Street Campus.

9:30 am - New Beginnings Class:  This class is for people 50 and over and meets in the basement of the Mountain State Bank building, located across the street from the Downtown Campus and next to the South Chestatee Campus.

11:00 am - Authenticity at the Masquerade:  This class is for all adults, and is located in the South Chestatee Campus.  Rev. Joe Peabody is the facilitator and childcare is provided. 

11:00 a.m. - "Heaven:  What Can We Know from the Bible?"  This class is located in the Library on the 3rd floor of the Education Building of the South Park Street Campus.  The facilitator is Rev. Christy Greenwald and it is based on the book by Randy Alcorn.  Started on February 10, 2008 and it is a 10 week course.

Nursery: Infants through 3 years. Located on the 1st floor of the Education Building.  You can take the elevator or the stairwell which is located at the end of the hall, last door on the left.  It is available at 8:30, 9:30 and 11:00 am services. Staffed by paid and qualified Nursery Workers and parent volunteers.

Children & Youth Classes

Sunday 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.

Bible stories and playtime are in conjunction with the Pre-K class, held alternately in the Toddler Room (adjoining the Nursery) or Room 103 (next door to Toddler Room.) Fellowship Hall, 1st Floor (from elevator, rooms are on the left).

Pre-K: Ages 3 and 4. Age-appropriate bible stories and activities. Fellowship Hall, Room 103.

K-5 & 1st Grade: Ages 5 and 6. Bible lesson and craft activities appropriate for beginning or non-readers. Fellowship Hall, Room 101.

2nd & 3rd Grades: Bible lesson, skits, activities. Fellowship Hall, 2nd Grade Room 102 and 3rd Grade Room 104.

4th & 5th Grade: Bible lesson, skits, activities, discussions. Fellowship Hall, 4th Grade Room 304 and 5th Grade 306.

6th, 7th & 8th Grades: Bible lesson, discussions. Meets in Room 301/303 of the Education Building, which is located behind the Downtown Sanctuary at 107 South Park Street.

Senior High: 9th-12th grades. Variable class format with Biblically-based lessons, discussions, video studies. Meets in the Wesley House located at the corner of Maple and Derrick Street. 

11:00 am Children's Church:  A special time of bible stories and fun, Children's Church is available through grade 5. Children go to the Sanctuary with their families for the beginning of the 11:00 am Worship. After the main opening hymn, the pastor calls all the children to the front of the church to sit with him on the steps for a short children's sermon. Once completed the children leave with leaders for the Children's Church. After worship, parents pick up children on the 1st floor in Room 104.
