Prayer and Support
INTERCESSORY PRAYER TEAM
We have a team of Intercessors who pray daily for your prayer requests. You may submit prayer requests by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by placing your prayer request in one of the prayer boxes located at the entrances to our Sanctuary. We love to celebrate your praises too, so please share those as well. Our Intercessors also pray regularly for our Church family, Church ministries, and community. Intercessors often choose to attend special community prayer events as well.
Would you like to join our Intercessory Prayer Team? Prayer requests are sent confidentially by email to all team members, and prayer time is done at home. If you are interested in serving the Lord in this way, please contact Janet Eriksson at email@example.com.

Families and individuals in our congregation have committed to pray for our Church family during a certain time of the day each week (morning, afternoon, evening, nighttime). This prayer time is done at home. Some individuals feel led to fast as well. Prayer Wall participants have expressed that they enjoy the feeling of closeness to the Lord during their prayer time. It blesses the Church, but it is also a time of blessing and growth for the ones praying.
If you would like to sign up for a time on the Prayer Wall, please contact Janet Eriksson at firstname.lastname@example.org. We thank ALL who are praying for our Church family, not only those who have signed up on the Prayer Wall, but also the many individuals and families who pray for our Church every day. Your prayers are felt by all. We are blessed that this Church is built on a strong foundation of prayer that goes back to the time of our Church's founding and beyond. To God be the glory!
DAILY PRAYER CALENDAR
Our daily prayer calendar is a way for our Church family to pray together in unity. Every Sunday, we will focus on our prayer theme for the week, based on the Christian and United Methodist liturgical calendars. Each weekday and Saturday, we will pray scripture verses; a theme-related prayer; and a prayer for a ministry area of Dahlonega UMC. Thank you for joining together in daily prayer. Blessings to you.
At the beginning of each new calendar season, the DUMC Intercessory Prayer Team leads a "Prayer Walk" around the Church grounds. The Prayer Walk is open to all members of the congregation. This is a wonderful time to spend together, praying for our Church as we pass through the Sanctuary and different ministry locations.
The Prayer Walk teaches us how to listen for God's heart and vision for our Church, and to proclaim verses of Scripture over the Church. Participants are not required to pray out loud. You may come and pray silently. However, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to pray out loud and to grow in your confidence in praying with others.
If you find walking difficulty, that is not an obstacle to your participation. You can choose a specific location to pray, and a chair will be provided for you. This is a wonderful opportunity to concentrate on praying for one particular location or ministry area.
When the Prayer Walk is over, you will feel refreshed in your spirit and joyful in your heart. Those who use the Church for different ministries every day will feel the power of your prayers. Your prayers make a difference. If you have questions about the Prayer Walks, contact Janet Eriksson at email@example.com.
Our next Prayer Walk is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 pm - meet in the Sanctuary.
